Family Visit Request
To request a family visit at Alpine Recovery Lodge, text the family line with the client’s name, who wants to visit, and whether you are requesting this Sunday. Visits are not automatic and must be approved by the therapist and clinical team before Sunday visiting hours.
Updated May 4, 2026
Alpine Recovery Lodge works with many major insurance providers. If your family has treatment or coverage questions, our admissions team can privately verify benefits, explain estimated coverage, and help you understand options before committing.
Family visits are reviewed carefully so connection supports treatment, safety, and structure.
Important: There are no visits during the first 7 days. Family visits are held on Sundays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, but the visit must be approved before Sunday by the therapist and clinical team. Please do not assume a visit is approved until Alpine confirms it.
How do you request a family visit?
The first step is to text the family line. Please include the client’s name, the names of everyone who wants to visit, each visitor’s relationship to the client, and whether you are requesting approval for this Sunday.
The clinical team will review the request and determine whether the visit is appropriate for the client’s current treatment stage. If you have general treatment questions, you can also review the Family Support page or contact admissions.
Text message example
Hi, I would like to request a family visit for [Client Name]. The people who want to visit are [Names and relationships]. We are asking about this Sunday. Please let us know if this visit can be approved and if there is anything else we need to do first.
What happens after you text the family line?
A visit request goes to the clinical team for review. A request is not the same as permission, so please wait for approval before planning to arrive.

Plan ahead before arriving
Text first, wait for approval, and review visitor rules before coming to Alpine Recovery Lodge.
What are the family visit rules?
These rules protect the client, other clients, staff, family members, and the treatment environment. Approved visitors are expected to follow all house rules.
| Rule | What families need to know | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| No visits for the first 7 days | Clients are not eligible for visits during the first 7 days of treatment. | This protects stabilization, structure, and clinical adjustment early in treatment. |
| Therapist approval required | A requested visit is not approved until the therapist and clinical team confirm it. | Approval helps make sure the visit supports treatment rather than disrupting it. |
| List who wants to visit | Families must identify everyone who wants to come before approval is given. | The team needs to know exactly who is requesting access. |
| Sunday visits only | Visits are held Sundays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. | This keeps the schedule predictable and clinically manageable. |
| Approval must happen before Sunday | Please do not wait until Sunday to request permission. | Advance review is required so the team can approve or deny the request appropriately. |
| Common areas only | Visitors may only be in approved common spaces. | This protects structure, privacy, and house safety. |
| Respect and house rules required | All visitors must behave respectfully and follow Alpine’s house rules. | The visit environment must remain calm, safe, and appropriate for treatment. |
| No sexual relations | Sexual behavior or sexual relations with visitors are not allowed. | This is a firm boundary that protects treatment structure and safety. |
| No drugs or alcohol use before visiting | Visitors must not arrive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. | Sobriety protects the client, peers, and the treatment setting. |
| Search and UA may apply | Visitors may be searched and may be subject to UA requirements. | This helps keep substances and unsafe items out of the facility. |
| Client items must be searched | Anything brought for a client must be checked before it is allowed in. | This helps prevent unsafe or prohibited items from entering the program. |
| No pets unless approved | Pets are not allowed unless they are approved in advance. | This maintains safety, cleanliness, and program consistency. |
| Leave bags, purses, and phones in the car | Visitors must leave bags, purses, and phones in the car unless otherwise directed. | This reduces risk, protects privacy, and supports house rules. |
Texting the family line is the best way to ask permission and get clarification before a Sunday visit.
Why are visits approved case by case?
Not every visit is helpful at every stage of treatment. Approval helps the clinical team consider timing, boundaries, readiness, and whether the visit supports the treatment plan.
Why ask first instead of showing up?
Texting first prevents confusion, protects the client’s schedule, and helps your family avoid arriving before approval has been given.
What if you are unsure?
If you are unsure whether a visit will be approved, text the family line first. The clinical team can clarify what information is needed.
