Screening guide + Alpine preparation checklist • Adults 18+
Learn how TAPS screens several types of substance use and prepares you for follow-up questions.
This is a self-reflection, not a validated screening test. It has no diagnostic score and cannot decide which treatment you need.
TAPS-1 asks about tobacco, alcohol, nonmedical prescription use, and other drug use during the past 12 months. When use is reported, TAPS-2 explores recent use over the past three months. A provider can help apply its branching questions correctly.
